The University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic are collaborating on a project called The Research Organizer for Project Information eXchange. (TROPIX)
The goal of the project is to create tools to capture metadata at core experimental facilities where data is first collected. This will facilitate improved organization and standardization of data formats being used between institutions.
