Citrix for Windows Environments

Adding Storage Mounts to Desktops
See our How-To video for a recorded demonstration of adding the Tier 1 mounts.
- Log into your selected Citrix Desktop and open the 'File Explorer' that is typically pinned to the taskbar.
- On the left-hand side, locate the 'Network' section and right click it to open a menu and select 'Map network drive...'. That will bring up the 'Map Network Drive' menu.
- Within the 'Map Network Drive' menu, leave drive letter as default and use the following on the 'Folder' text box.
- \\warbler.msi.umn.edu\homes
- This loads your private home directory e.g. /users/0/INTERNETID/
- \\warbler.msi.umn.edu\projects
- This loads your primary project root directory e.g. /projects/standard/PROJECT_NAME/
- \\warbler.msi.umn.edu\homes
- Check the box 'Reconnect at sign-in' and click on 'Finish' to save the mount.
- Verify that you are able to access your primary project space using the File Explorer
Now that the Network drive is mounted, the project space can be accessed from applications/software installed local to the Citrix desktop
If you are a member of multiple projects and need to access them, first change your primary project using the MyMSI Change group page. Once the changes have propagated, you will be able to access the new project space.
