Fighting Cancer
Research by MSI PI Branden Moriarity (associate professor, Pediatrics) is featured in the Spring 2024 issue of Discovery, a publication about medical research from the University of Minnesota Foundation. The article describes a method of immunotherapy, called adoptive cell therapy, which Professor Moriarity and his research group are developing to fight cancer. The story can be read on the Foundation’s website: Cancer-fighting boot camp.
Professor Moriarity uses MSI resources as part of his research into the genetics of pediatric cancer, including sarcomas and brain tumors, which seeks to identify novel therapeutic targets to better treat pediatric cancer patients.
