Grant for MSI PI-Led Forever Green Project
MSI PI Mitch Hunter, co-director of the Forever Green Initiative, leads a project to develop oilseed crops that was recently awarded a six-year, $10M grant from the Department of Energy. The project co-leads are from North Dakota State University, The USDA-Agricultural Service in Morris, Minnesota, and Cargill, Inc. Dr. Hunter uses MSI resources for several Forever Green projects, including research into pennycress, camelina, and hazelnuts.
